And Still, I Rise With Sabr
When you feel disconnected from Allah ﷻ, when people leave, when the path breaks, when the answers don’t seem to be coming, this book reminds you: Allah ﷻ never left you.
And Still, I Rise with Sabr is for every Muslim heart learning to live life with patience, purpose, and peace. It speaks directly to you, while introducing some of the 99 names of Allah to help familiarize yourself with the attributes of Allah, and build your relationship with him at whatever level you are currently on.
None of you [truly] believes until he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself. — Hadith 13, 40 Hadith an-Nawawi
Here’s a book to share reminders, reflections, and resources that bring me closer to Allah ﷻ, in the hope that they help you too. Because the peace, purpose, and connection I want for my own heart, is what I want for every member of our ummah.

It is for the believer who wants to heal without compromising their iman. For the one who’s tired of being told to “just have faith,” and is looking for language that makes space for both pain and trust in Allah ﷻ.
About Author
Hakeemat is a born-muslim who wasn’t always aware of Allah or Islam. It wasn’t until her teenage years, after going through some unusual situations that she began to question life’s purpose and then began to seek answers.
A simple but powerful reply from a Muslim houseparent, in boarding school, gave her a start to a new journey: “The purpose of life is to worship Allah.”
It took her a while to embark fully, but she did. Her journey with Islam has had its ups and downs, but she’s learned that Allah is always near, ready to guide and support us.
Through And Still, I Rise with Sabr, she hopes to share the reminder: Do not despair, Allah sees it all. No matter what challenges you face, you are never alone, and Allah’s mercy and provision are bountiful and always within reach.
What is to come...
Our souls do not remain with our bodies in the same way when we sleep as they do when we’re awake. Each morning, when we rise, it is by the will of Allah ﷻ, a sign that He has returned our soul because there is still purpose written for us.
Some were not granted that chance.
If you’re reading this, pause and reflect. Alhamdulillah for every moment, whether lost or gained, for truly, Allah ﷻ is the best of planners. These next books are an invitation for you to examine your path: are you living for His pleasure, or drifting toward worldly distractions?
You who is reading this still has a purose in life.
Just One Sujūd Away
…a story about the mercy of Allah ﷻ, the quiet pull of salah, and how no one is ever too far, because redemption may be just one sujūd away.
Before I Knew Myself
…a story of friendship, healing, and finding the pieces of yourself you didn’t know were missing.
Haram This, Haram That
…a mix of humor and reflection, the story explores how quick judgments can overshadow compassion, humility, and genuine Islamic advice.
